I honestly cannot wait for English this year. Last year, I learned a great deal of skills in English class, and I think that if this year resembles the previous year in any manner, I will learn very much. I'm expecting very much from Mr. Byron, my teacher, but I hope, in particular, that he'll teach me to write better as I love writing. From Mr. Rojek, I learned many creative ways to express myself effectively, and I'm hoping to increase my adroitness this year as well.
As far as things I would like to do, reading is at the top of the list. I enjoyed the books I read in American Literature immensely, and I can't wait to continue reading fascinating books. I'm especially excited this year for books like The Canterbury Tales, which I studied extensively in European history. Also, to enhance my understanding of the novels I read, I hope Mr. Byron will do elaborate reviews with our class on the subtle nuances and hidden meanings; By studying the books our class reads, I'm confident that I can, in turn, become a better writer. Also, I want to work on many class projects. In the past, I've benefited greatly from peer editing my friends' work and ideas, and I know if I continue studying in groups this year, I can more fully utilize my English experience.
I'm very enthusiastic for English class this year, and I hope to gain much from learning from Mr. Byron.
